Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is a key component of any injury management treatment plan. Dr. Selby utilizes strengthening, stretching, motor re-programming, core training, PAILS exercises, balance/proprioceptive training, and sport specific exercise to complement his soft tissue systems and treatments. He emphasizes the active role the patient must take in the rehabilitation process and highlights its importance in the treatment plan. Rehabilitation is utilized in order to reduce pain, return tissues to their pre-injury state, and to prevent further dysfunction. Programs and exercises are given uniquely to each individual depending on their injury and their tolerance level. Exercises can be done in the clinic or at home with proper instruction.
